Quizzing Now Offered at ACA
Bible Quizzing is a new activity
this year at Ambassador Christian Academy, and
is open to middle school students. Each year the
teams compete against other Christian schools from
New Jersey and Pennsylvania in the area of scripture
memorization. Students are challenged to memorize
approximately 250 verses in a given passage of
scripture (KJV). This year, we are memorizing specific
chapters in the book of Genesis. Mrs. Civile teaches
the class during the regular Bible period in school.
Quizzing is an exciting,
academic-style competition with emphasis on not
only scoring points but, just as importantly, on
character development and good sportsmanship. Competition
begins in late January and ends in early March,
culminating with a Black Rock Retreat. You will
learn more about this exciting program in the days
ahead.

The
Amazing Flat Traveler
This year
the third grade classes taught by Amy Stanton
and Sharon Civile are working on a "Flat
Stanley" inspired project. We started
by reading the book Flat Stanley by Jeff
Brown. In the story a young boy gets flattened
by a bulletin board (without being hurt)
and is able to travel to visit his friend
in California in an envelope.
